To understand the different types of cloth diapers, you must know that no matter what system is used, the layer comprises an absorbent layer that lies next to (almost) the child's skin and absorbs moisture, and an impermeable layer that lies outside and prevent moisture from escaping. The absorbent layer and the waterproof layer can be designed that can be reduced to four main types of cloth diapers.
Four Types of Cloth Diapers
- Prefold Diapers
- Fitted Diapers
- All in Ones
- Pocket Diapers
Prefold Diapers
Prefolded The term refers to an absorbent layer of rectangular shape. Several layers of absorbent material are sewn together to make an already folded. Prefolds should be doubled, and you can experiment with different folds to suit your needs. Prefolds have not been built in the barrier layer, then you must purchase separately.
These diapers are very cheap, but most of the work when the time comes to change, as it should be doubled.
Fitted Diapers
The term refers to an absorbent layer that is shaped like a disposable. This type of diaper normally meets on the legs for a comfortable fit, and closed with buttons or velcro (velcro like). diapers were not built into the outer layer impermeable to water, so it should be used with a separate envelope. They are very convenient because you do not need to bend, and even if you have to buy diapers in part, covers clean and dry, it can be reused for several changes. Diapers are generally more expensive prefolds a bit "but they are cheaper than AIOs or pocket diapers.
Pocket Diapers
Pocket Diapers are made of an outer layer, waterproof layer and a soft cloth, sewn together on three sides to form a bag. The wells should be filled with an absorbent layer separated. As the outer layer in contact with the child's skin, change every diaper change. You need to separate the absorbent layer of the bag after each diaper change to pocket diapers to wash properly.
Pocket Diapers are very convenient but are more expensive than the already folded layers and equipped. These work a little "anything that must be assembled, but they dry faster than all beings, because they can be separated.
All in one
All of them, sometimes called all-in-One is a single piece of cloth diapers. They are a combination of an absorbent layer and a layer border fence in one layer, in one piece. All are very easy to use because there is no need to fold or assemble in the layer in any way. These layers can be a good choice for use with babysitters or caretakers who are not completely comfortable with the layers. They are also useful to use when you are with the child during the day because they are so easy to change on the fly.
All in one, because they are one piece, you need a new all-in-one for each diaper change.
All in one cloth diapers are more expensive layers already folded and equipped, and strictly comparable with pocket diapers (depending on options chosen) in the price. If this type of cloth diaper is out of your price range, you can choose to perform most cache layers with less expensive styles, and shopping are two of the All-In-One to have on hand when you want convenience of a all in one system.
Making Your Choice
Keep in mind that you do not have to use one type of cloth diapers exclusively. Some parents decide upon one specific type of cloth diaper work for them, but many parents buy a few different styles in order to meet different needs.
